Job Overview: We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Physiatrist to join us as the Medical Director of Acute Rehabilitation. In this role, you’ll be leading our rehab unit, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care, and working with a fantastic team of healthcare professionals. Your leadership will help shape the future of our rehabilitation services and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the acute rehabilitation unit with a focus on excellence in patient care.
  • Develop and oversee personalized treatment plans and patient care protocols.
  • Work closely with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Ensure the unit complies with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Act as a bridge between the rehab unit and other hospital departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Provide training and education to staff on the latest practices in rehabilitation medicine.
  • Engage with the community to promote our rehab services and educate on rehabilitation care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Valid Oklahoma state medical license and DEA certification.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, with 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in managing a variety of rehabilitation conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for teamwork.
  • A genuine commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team.
  • Medical Director experience, preferably with 1 year as a Medical Director.
  • Physiatrist experience, preferably with 2 years in the field.
