Maternal-Fetal Medicine opening - Grand Rapids & Muskegon, MI ~ H1b Eligible Position Details
- Full-time, permanent
- Provide specialized care in Maternal Fetal Medicine managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Obstetricians, Neonatologists, and other specialists, to create comprehensive care plans and serve as their main referral source.
- Serve as a regional physician providing services primarily in Grand Rapids with occasional travel to Muskegon.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
- Work with an assigned MA, Sonographer, and additional support staff at all offices.
- Share on-call responsibilities with the MFM Partner/Medical Director, primarily handling phone calls and occasional hospital visits.
- Offer routine well-woman care, including annual exams and pap smears.
- Treat and evaluate abnormal pap smears.
- Manage menopause with hormone therapy and alternatives.
- Provide urinary incontinence treatment.
- Diagnose and treat endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
- Perform laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries.
- Conduct breast exams and provide breast imaging referrals.
- Offer robotic surgical services using state-of-the-art technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System.
- Perform cervical procedures and hysterectomies.
- Correct bladder and rectal prolapse.
- Diagnose and treat uterine fibroids and osteoporosis.
- Address vaginal/uterine prolapse and abnormal bleeding.
- Provide pre-pregnancy counseling and infertility evaluations.
- Deliver care for low and high-risk obstetrical cases.
- Screen for perinatal mood disorders.
- Perform prenatal and high-risk obstetrics care.
- Conduct pelvic reconstruction procedures.
- Offer natural family planning and infertility evaluations.
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical care, including high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
- Conduct on-site ultrasounds.
- Support OB nurse educators and certified lactation counselors.
- Provide supportive counseling.
