**Maternal Fetal Medicine opening in Wilmington, NC**
Hospital system is seeking a MFM Specialist Provider. This group is a referral-based practice that offers pre-natal diagnosis, genetic counseling, first trimester screening, amniocentesis, ante-partum testing, consultation, and management for high-risk pregnancies. The new facility has 8 GE E10 ultrasound machines. The support staff includes 11 sonographers, 1 genetic counselor, 1 RN Clinical Supervisor, 1 LPN, 4 CMAs, and ancillary office staff. Hospital consultations are also provided and the group works closely with the OB/GYN residency program for high-risk consultation and education.
Currently, the hospital delivers over 4,500 + babies per year. In April 2008, this group will have completed the new Women and Childrens Center, which will include a Level III nursery. The NICU has a total of 45 beds, starting at 23 weeks gestation. Labor and delivery provide 14 beds with an additional 13 beds for high-risk pregnancies in the antepartum unit. Awarded Best Maternity Hospital Awards for 2023 by Newsweek, Leapfrog, and US News and World Report. Serving the 5 + surrounding counties for pre-natal diagnosis in Southeastern North Carolina. This practice is consultation only, no deliveries.
