Job Description
Last Update:
12/20/24
Specialty/Dept.: Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Start Date: 01/01/2025
End Date: 06/30/2025
Requisition Reason: Coverage
OnCall: No
EMR System (Clinic EMR different than hospital EMR?): Epic
Board: Board Certified
Schedule Type: Flexible Schedule
Coverage dates needed: January - June
8am-4:30, no call coverage, no inpatient coverage.
*Emergency privileges granted & expedited*
- Breakdown of practice days: 25 days of coverage available,
- Clinic call and/or after-hours call: No Call
- Patient volumes: Ultrasounds – 55-60 per day; 20 non-stress tests; 4-6 consults
The volume is ~60 scans with 6 consults (estimating lower than 70 as for those weeks we will be increasing time for anatomy scans from 1hr to 1.25 hrs and so, lower volume)
The consults are simple mostly – e.g. for AMA and obesity.
The current MFMs do all this as 1 person as they have no other inpatient responsibility.
The system is very efficient as the sonographers type in all details including impression and FU, and in turn, easier for the signing doc.
There are roughly ~ 8-10 anatomy scans, rest are NTs or growth scans.
Required Degree: MD
