Client Description:
Our client manages one of the fastest growing multi-specialty group practices in the country. They employ over 400 physicians in nearly 50 medical specialties in the greater Hudson Valley/Orange County, NY area. As of right now, they are currently taking immediate considerations for qualified Primary Care physicians to join one their affiliated outpatient clinics. A standard schedule is 3 (10-hr shifts) and 1 (12-hr shift) per week. For Family Practitioners specifically, they are expected to work in the Urgent Care clinic for their 12-hr shift per week. There is no hospital call, yet a “team call,” which is 1:4. That would consist of 1 weeknight and 1 weekend in some capacity of office setting, urgent care, nursing home, or telephone call. This is a busy practice seeing 25-30 patients a day. Because they start physicians off slow to get used to the EMR, they can expect approx. 15 patients per day the first month and ramp up after 1 month. Physicians are expected to work at the 50% wRVUs by year one and 75% wRVUS by year two. This amounts to approx. 25-28 patients per day. Busy partners often see 30 per day (some more).
