Job Description
Join Our Leadership Team as an Associate Market Clinical Director!
Are you an experienced physician with a passion for leadership and clinical excellence? Do you thrive in mentoring and developing teams, driving exceptional clinical outcomes, and making a difference in the lives of your patients? If so, we want to hear from you!
At ChenMed, we are revolutionizing healthcare for seniors by delivering high-quality, personalized care in a value-based model. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Market Clinical Director to lead a group of talented Medical Directors across multiple centers in your market, helping them deliver top-tier clinical care while also being a hands-on provider.
Job Responsibilities
Mentorship & Coaching: Develop and cultivate the next generation of clinical leaders. Through regular 1:1s, shadowing opportunities, and leadership development plans, you’ll help your team grow both professionally and personally.
Clinical Excellence: Split your time between leadership duties and direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider (PCP). This is your chance to make an impact not just from the top down, but in the day-to-day care you provide to your patients.
Collaboration & Innovation: Work alongside Clinical COE, Talent Acquisition, and other leaders to drive talent development and foster continuous improvement within your centers. Your insights and expertise will be integral in shaping the clinical strategy and the way we deliver care.
Market Leadership: Build strong relationships with community organizations, specialists, payers, and local hospitals. Use your knowledge of the market to drive initiatives that improve outcomes and reduce costs. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your presence through social media and other community-building efforts.
Improvement-Focused: Take part in regional initiatives to improve quality and performance. You’ll be involved in scorecard reviews, quarterly clinical metric analysis, and more to ensure we’re on track to meet—and exceed—our goals.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (3 years preferred)
Board eligibility required; Board certification is preferred (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar)
Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in your state
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, mentor, and inspire clinical teams
Experience in population risk management and chronic disease care preferred
Comfortable with managed care systems and value-based care models
Skills
Leader at Heart: A seasoned physician who excels at managing and mentoring teams. You have experience leading initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in patient care, cost, and overall outcomes.
Communicator & Coach: Skilled at building relationships, coaching your team, and fostering a collaborative environment. You’re not just a manager—you’re a mentor who helps others realize their potential.
Results-Driven: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a track record of driving results. Whether it’s improving clinical outcomes, streamlining operations, or building relationships, you’re focused on achieving excellence.
Passionate about Patient Care: While leadership is a core focus, you also love practicing medicine. You’ll spend about 20% of your time directly caring for patients, bringing your clinical expertise to the front lines.
