This is an outstanding opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Physician seeking a slower-paced, low-acuity environment focused on providing high-quality care — without the demands of trauma or pediatrics.


As a Physician at the Jackson VA Medical Center, you’ll primarily treat cases such as chest pain, gastroenteritis, and COPD exacerbations — no trauma or pediatric cases. If you’re looking for a balanced, less stressful ER environment, this is the perfect fit.


Position Highlights:

  • Outpatient environment
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance – No on-call responsibilities
  • Double physician coverage from 10 AM to 7 PM
  • Minimum 1-2 shifts per month

Requirements:

  • Any valid state medical license
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting (at least 12 months within the last 24 months)
  • Current DEA and Controlled Substance License
  • Active BLS & ACLS certifications
  • Provide three professional references
