Job description:
Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on-site services to the male population at this facility. Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Physician Duties:
• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Managing medication
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
• Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
• Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients/hour
Requirement:
• Healthcare-professional level CPR certification
• Ohio Medical License
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification from Ohio
