First Physicians Group, the employed Medical Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, has an exceptional opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician in our expanding market. We are seeking a well-trained, compassionate and enthusiastic physician looking to provide exceptional care in our employed practice in Venice, FL.

Venice, Florida, in Sarasota county, is 17 miles south of Sarasota, Florida (center to center) and 58 miles south of Tampa, Florida. With 14 miles of beaches, Venice offers plentiful shopping, family-friendly saltwater adventures and Old Florida charm. Venice was named a Top Five Suburb for City-Like living and is one of USA Today’s 10 Best Must-Visit Beaches in the South.

Highlights of the position:

• Group is made up of two (2) experienced Internal Medicine physicians who have recently relocated to a new and larger office space in Venice.
• The position is outpatient only. FPGs Hospitalist group will cover inpatient admissions at both hospitals.
• Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, providing an excellent work/life balance.
• Clinic volume averages 18-20 patients per day.
• Equitable call of 1:7 is shared among other FPG physicians in the area.
• Office is located above an SMH Urgent Care offering radiology, full-service laboratory testing and serves as a referral source for a new physician.
• Teaching of Florida State University Medical Students and Internal Medicine Residents is available if interested.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
• Board Certified preferred; Board Eligible will be considered.
• Active Florida license or eligible for a FL license

Additional Information:

• Contract includes a competitive 2 year guaranteed base salary. Physicians can transition to a generous pay model after 2 years.
