Internal Medicine Program Director opportunity in Dayton, OH

  • Employed The Internal Medicine division seeks an academically minded faculty member to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director. The Program Director is responsible to the Designated Institutional Official, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and to the ACGMEs Residency Review Committee for maintaining an educational environment conducive to educating residents/fellows in each of the ACGME competency areas and in conformance with School of Medicine policies and procedures. Job Description:
  • Work 0.5 FTE as Program Director and 0.5 FTE in a clinical setting
  • Oversight of didactic and clinical education, journal clubs, case conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and fellows, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and academic leadership.
  • Contributing to the division s clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.
  • Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division s services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service.
  • Regular outpatient clinical practice.
  • APP collaboration for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical practice. Job Requirements Prior to the effective date of appointment*, successful candidates must have:
  • American Trained, US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
  • MD, DO or MBBS degree
  • Completed Internal Medicine residency
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Ohio Medical License
  • Federally issued DEA License
