Job Posting: Regional Medical Director

Position Overview: SSM Health seeks a dedicated and experienced Regional Medical Director to lead and provide medical and administrative leadership for our defined Clinical Program. This role operates within a Dyad model, working collaboratively with an administrative partner to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care across our integrated delivery network. Clinical Programs at SSM Health are designed around medical conditions, disease groupings, population health, preventative medicine, and acute medicine, aiming to deliver patient care that is efficient, timely, effective, equitable, and of the highest quality and safety across our multi-state health system.

Employment Details:

  • Position Type: Part-time (0.3 FTE, 2 days a week)
  • Base Salary: Competitive
  • Role Type: Non-clinical, Administrative only
  • Replacement For: Provider returning to full-time employment

Unique Points:

  • This role is part of the organization's Strategy and Business Development arm, offering a unique opportunity to work with motivated and productive providers focused on improving health and wellness in employer clinic settings.
  • The program has been established for over twenty years and has grown to include 20 DTE clients and thousands of clients in the Occupational Health Service Line.
  • The position is primarily remote, with office space available at Dean East and other locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of SSM Health's strategic plan for the SSM Health at Work Program through employer relations by collaborating with Program leaders, DHP agents, and brokers.
  • Monitor, manage, and improve the delivery of care and services across all regions through the DTE employer-contracted clinics and Occupational Health services.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders on strategy and growth initiatives for the SSM Health at Work Program.
  • Develop service options and protocols to ensure quality care.

Leadership Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Experience in program development and strategic planning.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience in primary care and/or occupational health.
  • Proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
