C&E Pharmacy Services, LLC is seeking two (2) Onsite Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physicians to provide a range of necessary quality oriented Primary Care services for the Veteran beneficiaries who utilize the medical services at the Clement J. Zablocki VAMC and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS) located in Milwaukee, WI. All services must meet or exceed the National Standards established by the American Board of Family Medicine and/or Internal Medicine.
Hours for Service/Shifts:
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours of schedule: 8.00am -4.30pm CST
With half an hour (1/2 hour) of unpaid lunch break.
No weekends or holidays.
Normal clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CST
8 hours / day = 40 hours/ week: Total annual hours per FTE = 2080
Location(s):
Physician 1 will be assigned to work between the Milwaukee VAMC, the Union Grove CBOC, and the Oconomowoc VA Clinic.
Physician 2 will be assigned to work between the NEWAC (Northeast Wisconsin Ambulatory Clinics) locations viz. the Appleton CBOC, the Cleveland CBOC, and the Green Bay Health Care Center.
Salary Range:
$249,600.00 - $416,000.00 per annum

Background, Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of an approved school of Medicine
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Family Practice or Internal
  • Medicine as a Primary Care Physician or Internal Medicine Physician
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS
  • Candidates must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
  • VA experience would be an asset but not mandatory
  • Possess certification of Standard Infection Control Measures Immunizations for PPD, Measles, Mumps
  • Registration/certification by national/medical associations shall continue to meet the minimum standards for CME to remain current. CME hours to be reported for credentialing and for tracking and are required for both privileging and re-privileging
  • Evidence of completing and passing generic self-study blood-borne pathogen training
  • NPI and DEA numbers
  • Proof of Indemnification and Medical Liability Insurance
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The VA Lead Physician or designee will provide work assignments and professional direction to Physicians 1 and 2 who will be granted scope of practice based on his/her expertise and the need of the VA.
  • Each physician shall evaluate and treat approximately 10 patients each 8-hour shift
  • Physician 1- While working at the Milwaukee VAMC, Physician 1 will be under the general oversight of the Lead Physician of the Primary Care Division.
  • While working at the Union Grove and Oconomowoc Clinics, Physician 1 will be under the general oversight of the onsite Lead Physician.
  • Physician 2- While working at the Cleveland CBOC and the Green Bay Healthcare Clinic, Physician 2 will be under the general oversight of the Lead Physician at the Green Bay Healthcare Clinic.
  • While working at the Appleton CBOC, Physician 2 will be under the general oversight of the onsite Lead Physician
  • The duties and responsibilities of the Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physicians include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving civilian and military patients at the VA Hospital and Clinics
  • The physicians shall be required to work cooperatively with VA Physicians, CRNAs, Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), Registered Nurses (RN), Anesthesia Technicians and a variety of allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive health care services to patients
  • Providing and coordinating comprehensive care to include assessing, diagnosing, initiating treatment, managing, following up, and continuity of care through advocacy, consultancy, and referrals and appropriate diagnostic tests and medication adjustments
  • Documenting care plans for each patient in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of new and current clinical methods
  • Availability to accept patient diagnostic results communicated via phone after hours Additional Qualifying Information:
  • All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
