Title: Internal / Family Medicine Provider - PCP

Location: Near Springfield IL

Compensation: 1099 Position with malpractice insurance provided upon hire

Shifts: Weeknights, 5p to 8a with some PRN weekend coverage avail , Friday, 5:30 pm - 8 am Monday morning - onsite all weekend with call room provided

Facility Type: Inpatient Mental Health Facility

Average Caseload: 20 patients per week

Total Beds/Units: 125 beds, inpatient population with 6 units

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Initial history and physical examination
• Evaluation for admission
• Initial diagnosis - non psychiatric
• Devise initial treatment plan and make recommendations for treatment
• Sign admission certificates
• Perform admission history and physicals
• Order lab studies
• Provide follow-up evaluations and care to recipients
• Document exam results and treatment plans
• Attend to employee work-related injuries prior to hospital referral
• Respond to resident emergencies (whether medical or psychiatric)
• Consult with attending physicians and psychiatrics as necessary
• Make referrals to acute hospital
• Sign and review restraint or seclusion orders
• Provide on-call services

PHYSICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Illinois license
• Current Illinois Controlled Substance certificate
• Current DEA certificate
• Mantoux skin test prior to starting work or documentation of negative Mantoux within last 90 days
• Board eligible/Board certified
