Job Description
The Greater Los Angeles VA is seeking Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) for Antelope Valley Community Based Clinic, located in Lancaster, CA. PCPs will lead patient-centered medical homes, providing preventative and longitudinal care to veterans alongside multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals.
Duties include screening for mental health concerns such as PTSD, depression, and substance-use disorders; diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses; and addressing gender-specific health needs. PCPs will evaluate and treat uncomplicated mental health and substance-use disorders, coordinate specialty care as needed, and provide preventive care, including cancer screenings, immunizations, and weight management counseling. Successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team involving nurses, social workers, integrated mental health providers, and pharmacists, ensuring holistic care tailored to each Veteran’s needs. The GLA VA Healthcare System is affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Opportunities exist for an academic appointment at UCLA as a clinician-educator to teach medical students, internal medicine residents and other trainees. Previous experience in teaching is preferred for clinics that are part of academic training programs. All qualified applicants, including women and minorities, are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license from any state or US territory.
• Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of practice, but not required.
• Must be Board Certified
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-4:30pm | 12-15 Patients per clinical day

Competitive Salary Range: $250,000-$270,000 + up to $15,000 annual performance-based award, final salary determination within this range. Recruitment incentive available.
