The medical group consists of board-certified physicians in Family Medicine and Nephrology. Job Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively with the Regional Medical Director in developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures that fosters collegiality and professional development/growth among the medical staff (physicians and non-physician providers) within the assigned skilled nursing facilities.
2. Provide leadership to the members of the medical staff team.
3. Serve as the Medical Director for assigned facilities.
4. Work collaboratively with Executive Directors/Directors of Nursing to develop and implement policies and programs that improve the quality of care in skilled nursing homes.
Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
2. Order and interpret diagnostic test results.
3. Applies clinical knowledge, and evidence/science-based medicine guidelines to evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for a variety of clinical ailments within the scope of independent practice, including prescribing and referring patients as appropriate.
a) Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
b) Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
c) Prescribe therapy or medication.
d) Instruct and educate patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
4. Order medical and laboratory supplies and equipment.
5. Documentation using EMR must be completed in a timely manner, labs signed the day received and paperwork signed.
Qualifications
1. Must be a U.S. citizen or hold an appropriate Visa to apply.
2. Must be eligible for or hold an unrestricted license in the state you choose to practice in.

3. Possess or be eligible for a DEA license, NPI number, and have prescriptive authority.
4. Board eligible/certified by the time of employment.
5. Must be eligible to participate in Medicare/Medicaid programs.

Skills
1. Must be MD/DO/MBBS physician degrees.
2. Preferable Experience: 1 year experience in primary care, hospital, or skilled nursing home or equivalent preferred however, new graduates from Residency programs are encouraged to apply.
3. Must be BC/BE in General Practice/Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Physiatry/or Geriatric Medicine. Other specialty areas of medicine will be considered.
