Job Summary:
The University of Central Florida / HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program is seeking candidates for a Chief Resident Position starting the 2025 academic year.Qualified Candidates:
- Must be able and willing to establish and maintain effective working relationships and perform high-level decision-making
- The chief resident shall function under the supervision of the internal medicine residency program director
- The chief resident will develop administrative skills appropriate to the residency to act as a liaison to residents
- During the academic year, the chief resident will develop his/her personal leadership style, learn the complexities of conflict negotiation and resolution, and gain understanding of institutional administrative policies
- The chief resident oversees residents, interns and medical students in various ways: schedules, lectures, curriculum, research, quality improvement and simulation lab exercises
- Be a graduate of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program
- Have the ability to obtain Florida medical licensure
