Our client in Santa Cruz County, CA is in need of a Internal Medicine Physician for a locum assignment!

Job details:

• ASAP- as soon as credentialed - 6 months to a year
• Shift times: Weekdays: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1 hour lunch
• Frequency: Monday – Friday, every week- no call, would also consider someone who could do only a few days/week
• Internal Medicine- will consider a strong FP but that is not ideal. FTE: 1.0Duties: Typical IM clinic population average age 70. About half male/female with multiple comorbidities, such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, chf, etc
• EMR: Cerner
• Patients per Day: Other providers seeing 12-18 a day depending upon complexity
• Support Staff: MA's, MOR's, APP (one in clinic) and RN assigned to clinic
• Reason for Coverage: Provider Retiring

Job Requirements:

• Board Certified - BC in Internal Medicine OR Geriatrics - Site will consider candidate BC in Family Medicine if they have experience in IM & Family Medicine - REQUIRED
• Active CA License - REQUIRED
• BLS - REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice/background - HIGHLY PREFERRED
