Job Description
PCPs lead patient-centered medical homes to provide longitudinal and preventative care to a panel of Veterans. Primary care team members include nurses, social workers, integrated mental health providers, and pharmacists, administrative support for scheduling, among others. The GLA VA is affiliated with David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Opportunities exist for an academic appointment at UCLA as a clinician-educator to teach medical students, internal medicine residents and other trainees.
Successful candidates will demonstrate superb communication skills, a track record of leading teams, a strong background in clinical excellence, and commitment to improving Veteran health and well-being. Previous experience in teaching is preferred for clinics that are part of academic training programs. All qualified applicants, including women and minorities, are encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-4:30pm | 12-15 Patients per clinical day
Qualifications:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license from any state or US territory.
• Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of practice, but not required.
• Must be Board Certified

• Competitive Salary Range: $250,000-$270,000 + up to $15,000 annual performance-based award,
final salary determination within this range. Recruitment incentive available for Lancaster and Santa
Maria clinics.

11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
