We are seeking a Spanish-speaking Internal Medicine Provider to serve as the Director of Adult Medicine at our client’s Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The Director will oversee the delivery of primary care services to adult patients, ensuring high-quality care and health outcomes. This leadership role is responsible for supervising and mentoring medical staff, guiding clinical care protocols, and driving patient-centered initiatives to meet the diverse needs of the community, particularly those from Spanish-speaking backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide oversight and direction for the Adult Medicine Department, ensuring the highest standards of care for adult patients.
  • Primary Care Delivery: Deliver comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care to a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient population.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient care protocols.
  • Patient Care Management: Oversee patient care management processes, including intake, treatment planning, and follow-up care, with a focus on improving health outcomes for underserved populations.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and care efficiency within the Adult Medicine Department.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments and leadership to ensure integrated and comprehensive services, including behavioral health, women’s health, and social services.
  • Community Health Initiatives: Participate in and lead community outreach efforts to improve access to care for vulnerable populations and promote health education, particularly for Spanish-speaking individuals and families.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with FQHC guidelines, local and state health regulations, and accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Must be Medicaid/Medicare enrolled.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience working with underserved populations and knowledge of community health principles.
  • Strong understanding of chronic disease management and preventive care strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $200k to $250k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
