Job Summary:

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is recruiting an Addiction fellowship-trained physician to join their residency program at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Live and work in the charming seacoast area in tax-free New Hampshire or commute from nearby cities in Massachusetts and Maine. This is a new service line Portsmouth Regional Hospital is providing for the residency program.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Licensed to practice in New Hampshire
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Fellowship trained in Addiction Psychiatry preferred, but not required, will consider Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine addiction fellowship-trained
  • 2 years of experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program preferred, but not required
  • Develop a service line for patients and curriculum for residents
  • Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient, IOP
  • Candidates must have strong team building, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Additional characteristics of qualified applicants include adaptability, creativity, as well as enthusiasm for teaching and quality patient care
