MercyOne Clinton has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join a busy outpatient practice (hospitalist coverage available, if desired) located in Clinton, Iowa.
Job Description
- MercyOne Clinton is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join three other Internists and one APP in a traditional practice setting.
- The practice offers an autonomous clinic environment with an excellent team in place for assistance. The group is looking to add a physician to fill a recent vacancy.
- This physician will have the benefit of stepping into a very busy and fully developed practice.
- Clinic office is located in Clinton, Iowa. Charming, vibrant, inviting small-town community offering an abundance of activities with great location to big city amenities - 2 hours to Chicago, 2.5 hours to Madison, WI, 1.5 hours to Iowa City, and 45 minutes to the Quad Cities.
- Commutes are less than 15 minutes from anywhere in the city of Clinton to the clinics and 5 minutes to the hospital.
- Hours of operation of clinic is 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Clinton is located near the Mississippi River with access to fishing, beaches, boating, bands, showboat theatres, an orchestra, and riverside dining.

- MercyOne Medical Group has a strong primary care network of 23 providers in the medical group. In addition to the general internists, MercyOne Clinton also has talented and dedicated Internal Medicine subspecialty physicians in Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Pulmonology. The hospital is contracted with Apogee to provide inpatient Hospitalist/Intensivist coverage.

- Cannot accept providers who have any malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision.

About the Community:
Clinton, Iowa is a city in eastern Iowa with a current population of 24,469 residents. The land that encompasses the state of Iowa and current day Clinton was part of the 1803 Louisiana Purchase. In September 1832 the U.S. Government purchased about 6 million acres of land in eastern Iowa from the Sac/Fox Indian tribes. At this time there were an estimated 15,000 native American Indians living in the state of Iowa.
Today the city has made recent investments in numerous new schools. The city has a 300-acre Industrial Park. The city has invested heavily in new streets and roads. There is a new storm water system, sewer system, and treatment plant.
