Job Overview - Lead Physician (Internal/Family Medicine):
Join our healthcare client in Hermitage, TN, as a Lead Physician. You will provide quality care for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), lead a transdisciplinary team, and oversee medical operations at the clinic.
Compensation: $270,000 - $290,000/year
Location: Hermitage, TN
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Lead Physician:
Join our healthcare client in Hermitage, TN, as a Lead Physician. You will provide quality care for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), lead a transdisciplinary team, and oversee medical operations at the clinic.

Responsibilities as the Lead Physician:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality care to IDD patients, including medical assessments, medication management, and referrals to specialists.
- Leadership: Provide coaching to clinicians and staff while demonstrating effective leadership within the transdisciplinary team.
- Medical Oversight: Manage patient emergencies, oversee genetic workups, and ensure adherence to clinical best practices.
- Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary clinical protocol meetings and serve as a medical liaison with off-site specialists.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the EHR and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Emergency On-Call: Provide emergency on-call coverage or designate an affiliated physician to handle off-hours emergencies.
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with IDD patients (Managerial experience preferred).
- Certification: Board certification in Internal/Family Medicine and current ACLS certification required.
- Licensure: Licensed physician with valid DEA and CPR certifications.
- Skills: Strong EHR, Word, and Excel proficiency; excellent communication skills in English.
