The Associate Medical Director role is crucial in supporting the clinical operations of their community health programs, ensuring that we deliver patient-centered, high-quality care. The Associate Medical Director will work closely with the Medical Director and other healthcare leaders to develop and implement strategies that address the unique needs of the community health population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical oversight and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Program Development: Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of community health programs, focusing on improving access to care, health outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives, including the development and monitoring of clinical protocols, guidelines, and performance metrics.
  • Patient Care: Maintain a limited clinical practice, providing direct patient care and serving as a role model for best practices in community health.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with community partners, public health organizations, and other stakeholders to address social determinants of health and improve health equity.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and support the professional development of clinical staff through education, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including documentation and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of NY.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with community health populations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to serving underserved populations. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • A deep understanding of and commitment to addressing the unique challenges and needs of community health populations.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $230k to $270k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
