Adelphi is seeking a physician to provide care to patients at a correctional facility in Henrico, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive substance use disorder services to the inmate population among other duties.

Requirements:

• Experience providing substance use disorder services
Responsibilities:
• Provide substance use disorder services to inmates.
• Manage detox for non-opioid users.
• Manage Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid users.
• Prescribe, as needed, medications for new inmates currently on MAT.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Independently resolve daily medical issues.
• Work effectively within a correctional setting, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to facility protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
