SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, managing a wide range of health conditions and promoting overall wellness. This role involves working in a collaborative environment with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patient histories
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic illnesses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide preventive care, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and immunizations
  • Manage and coordinate care for patients with complex medical conditions
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in internal medicine

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Missouri
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in internal medicine
