Primary Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director for our Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The Medical Director will lead a team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality, veteran-centric healthcare services. This pivotal role is focused on ensuring our nation's veterans receive exceptional medical care with the highest standards of compassion, respect, and clinical excellence.

Job Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership and Oversight:
Provide clinical leadership and direction to healthcare providers within the CBOC.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive medical care to veterans.
Conduct periodic chart reviews, direct observations, and adhere to VA guidelines to maintain excellent clinical outcomes.
Serve as a primary resource for clinical decision-making and problem-solving within the clinic.

2. Patient Care:
Deliver direct patient care, including the diagnosis and treatment of veterans.
Oversee patient care plans to ensure they meet the individual needs of veterans.
Foster a patient-centered approach to healthcare, emphasizing continuity of care and follow-up.

3. Collaboration and Partnership:
Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with VA partners and other healthcare providers.
Act as a liaison between the CBOC and other VA facilities to coordinate patient care and services.
Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote veteran health and wellness.

4. Operational Management:
Manage the daily operations of the CBOC, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Implement and monitor clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with VA standards and regulations.
Utilize performance metrics and data to drive continuous improvement in clinic operations and patient outcomes.

5. Staff Development and Training:
Mentor and support the professional development of clinic staff.
Facilitate ongoing education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Promote a positive clinic culture by encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO).
Board-certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization.
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical operations and lead a multidisciplinary team.
