The Assistant/Associate Professor of Internal Medicine will demonstrate experience and expertise that ensures the integration of scientifically based, outcome evaluated clinical knowledge and skills, biomedical sciences, and osteopathic principles and practices for predoctoral and/or postdoctoral students, provide service to the university and professional communities and engage in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical knowledge.

- Deliver medical education in the classroom, laboratory, simulation and clinic settings.
- Maintain scheduled office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation
- Service students through serving on committees, providing leadership, mentorship and expertise and participating in community outreach.
- Develop clinical preceptors (adjunct clinical faculty) and provide faculty development for the clinical preceptors
- Curriculum development, assessment, modification, quality improvement
- Assess and evaluate students and residents to help meet established standards
- Prepare grant proposals and academic evaluative reports.
- Clinical weekly work (1-2 half days) at local clinic and hospitals to maintain skills
- Maintain a personal and professional plan and portfolio
