We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join our client’s team. As an Inpatient Internal Medicine MD, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care and managing the treatment of patients admitted to our inpatient unit. Your expertise and clinical knowledge will be crucial in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.
Please note- The annual base salary range is $130k to $240k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests, to diagnose and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients admitted to the inpatient unit.
- Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in diagnosis and guide treatment decisions.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments to address patients' medical conditions, ensuring patient safety and monitoring for potential adverse effects.
- Monitor and assess patients' progress throughout their hospital stay, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and expectations for recovery.
- Document patient encounters, medical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to relevant regulatory and documentation requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care transitions and continuity of care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in internal medicine, continuously expanding medical knowledge and skills.
- Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient safety protocols, and clinical research activities within the organization.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice internal medicine in New York.
- Proven experience working in an inpatient setting, providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients.
- Strong clinical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions commonly encountered in an inpatient setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to prioritize patient safety and satisfaction.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle a demanding caseload and effectively multitask.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, demonstrating professionalism and respect for colleagues.
