Internal Medicine Program Director
Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine seek a physician with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director (Moses/Weiler campus). The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in medical education and administration of a large and dynamic group of faculty and learners. The next Program Director will lead initiatives vital to the evolution of medical education, specific to our patient population, and foster a mission driven group of faculty and residents. The Residency Program Director is responsible for program administration and operations, and for residents’ recruitment and selection; education in the context of patient care; supervision; assessment, promotion, and disciplinary actions; scholarly activity; and for the establishment of an effective learning climate at all teaching sites. Candidates report to the Department of Medicine Chair and must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various divisions and effectively promoting the program within the institution and without. Qualifications:
• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York State Medical License (or eligible)
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education
• Effective professional management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, mentoring and teaching skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
• Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Ability to build and lead high-performing teams; must be able to provide clear and accurate direction and guidance.
In addition to a competitive base salary of $200,000-$250,000, we offer the opportunity to supplement income through productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
