Position: Primary Care Physician – Internal Medicine/Family Medicine
Location: Near Tampa, FL
Salary: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits package
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5 (No weekends), Call rotation
Healthcare United is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician specializing in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. This role requires at least 3 years of Managed Care experience and expertise in Medicare Advantage to deliver exceptional outpatient care.
- Embrace a collaborative, team-based care approach.
- Focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, preventive care, and disease management.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and communicate care plans effectively with patients and families.
- Treat and manage patients with multiple comorbidities within the Medicare Advantage population.
- Coordinate with the care team to create cohesive plans and reduce unnecessary testing and fragmented care.
- Maintain compliance with the scope of practice within the state of licensure.
Requirements
- Board-Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Unrestricted medical license and DEA license (or ability to obtain before starting).
- Current CPR and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Must be Bilingual
- Experience with EMR systems, especially ECW.
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, HEDIS, MRA, and ICD-10 coding.
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex cases.
- Comfortable caring for a primarily Medicare-aged patient base.
