Local Team Collaboration:

  • We are seeking both a hospitalist and a nocturnist med-peds physician to join our close-knit team of 30 hospitalist physicians and 16 APPs, as well as a clinical performance nurse at Munson Medical Center.
  • 9 of us are combined with internal medicine and pediatrics training in various locations across our nation. We enjoy seeing adult and pediatric patients on the inpatient side of care.
  • Our team comprises healthcare providers from various regions across Michigan and the United States and members from the Middle East and Eastern European countries.
  • Team communication occurs via a twice-monthly team newsletter, morning huddles, and monthly/bi-monthly team meetings. Additionally, as part of the Munson Healthcare system, our hospitalist team participates in quarterly system meetings with hospitalists from the regional and community hospitals.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine/pediatrics
  • We proudly sponsor H1B candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists and licensing and credentialing experts. All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and Sound covers services.
  • New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Both day and night shift positions are available.
  • We utilize a flexible schedule at Munson, which allows us to cover for each other when we’re out or need time away.
  • At night, we have a med-peds nocturnist and internal medicine nocturnist on shift. In addition, there are three swing shift APPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working alongside adult specialties, and offer intermediate care for our pediatric patients.
  • Our talents support our trauma and surgical services to provide excellent regional care.
  • We use telehealth services to deliver pediatric care to our most rural hospitals. For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from the Munson Family Practice Center and Michigan State University—Corewell Health Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency.
