A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a Regional Medical Director for ambulatory care network. This role involves overseeing medical practice, managing providers, and leading quality initiatives to ensure exceptional patient care.

About the Opportunity:

  • Hybrid or Remote: On-site
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Setting: Ambulatory care centers

Responsibilities:

The Regional Medical Director will be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing medical care at assigned centers.
  • Providing guidance to the interdisciplinary team and ensuring a balanced approach between evidence-based care and patient needs.
  • Managing provider operations, including staffing, performance appraisals, and onboarding.
  • Supervising Quality Assurance initiatives to improve care quality, cost, and utilization.
  • Developing policies and standards aligned with professional practices.
  • Supporting managed care initiatives, utilization management, and clinical model design.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in staff supervision, value-based care, or managed care settings.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Certification: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; Geriatric Medicine preferred.
  • Knowledge of population health, quality improvement principles, data analytics.
  • Compassionate, relationship-based, mission-driven, patient-focused.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience: Experience working with frail or elderly populations preferred.
  • Familiarity with value-based care principles
