JOB DESCRIPTION: University affiliated medical center in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Geriatric Division Director who is board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with additional qualifications in Geriatrics. Fixed Term or Tenure Track faculty position at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant Professor Level or higher. Serve as a member of the department’s senior leadership team and set the course for the Geriatrics Division Patient care in both the ambulatory geriatric clinic and inpatient settings, as well as one continuing care retirement community with skilled care beds Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, supervision of residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in Geriatrics Opportunities to develop administrative and scholarship skills HOSPITAL: This innovative structure creates opportunities within the system is ranging from acute to ambulatory, academic practice to community practice, regional to rural, and everything in between.
