UT Health San Antonio Primary Care is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatrician to join our team. As a Geriatrician, you will provide specialized medical care to elderly patients, focusing on managing and preventing age-related health issues. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for elderly patients
  • Diagnose and manage chronic conditions common in older adults
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on aging-related health concerns and preventive measures
  • Stay updated on advancements in geriatric medicine and implement best practices in patient care

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Subspecialty certification in Geriatric Medicine is preferred
  • Valid Texas Medical License and DEA registration
  • Experience working as a geriatrician, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Dedication to providing compassionate care to elderly patients
