We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Temecula Valley Hospital is a comprehensive stroke center, STEMI center, and teaching hospital that has been recognized as a major regional provider of medical and surgical services by US News and World Report.
  • 20-bed ICU with medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac.
  • Night service is a teaching service with 1 pulm-crit fellow and Emergency Med residents. Intensivist supervises fellow and residents overnight.
  • EMR: Cerner with Dragon for dictation

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
  • A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
  • Active California medical license.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

  • Part-time nocturnist position is 7-night shifts per month (7 PM-7 AM).
  • We collaborate to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We care for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients. We see diverse cases and high acuity, which is an ideal environment for those looking to care for all critically ill patients.
  • Supervise residents and fellows
