Local Team Collaboration:
- We take pride in our well-established team of intensivist physicians and ICU acute care advanced practice providers (APPs) at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend.
- Riverbend is a 351-bed state-of-the-art regional medical center and level II trauma center. Our tertiary care center has a full array of subspecialties including neurosurgery, heart & vascular institute, and robotic surgery. The hospital is situated in a forested area overlooking the McKenzie River.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
- Ability to obtain an Oregon license.
- A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate proficiency in all technical skills required in critical care.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling:
- Full-time physicians work an average of 14 monthly shifts.
- We collaborate to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the ICU, working within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care. The ICU operates as a closed unit.
- We care for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients. We see diverse cases and high acuity, an ideal environment for those looking to care for all types of critically ill patients.
- We will utilize EPIC and our internal informatics platform for streamlined communication and patient data management, contributing to an organized and collaborative care environment.

Located in the south end of the Willamette Valley, 90 miles south of Portland and beside the scenic Willamette & McKenzie Rivers, Eugene-Springfield and the surrounding area is the place for the outdoor enthusiast.
