I’m the Regional Medical Director for our Intensivist program at Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay and Old Bridge Medical Center, part of the larger Hackensack Meridian Health network. I’ve been a part of Sound Critical Care since 2004 when I joined as a staff intensivist. I’m proud of the critical care team we have built at Raritan Bay and welcome interest from new graduates and practicing critical care physicians.

I’d like to share more about who we are and what we do — specifically about our people, practice, and purpose — as you consider your options:

People 

• Our team of five intensivists provides critical care coverage at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge Medical Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey, as one team.
• Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are dedicated to the practice of critical care medicine.
• Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care. We encourage our team members to participate actively in committees and become part of the larger hospital team.
• Perth Amboy and Old Bridge Township are located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and are considered part of the New York metropolitan area. Convenient access to NYC and the comfort of suburban living provide the perfect mix of creature comforts and spacious living.

Practice

• Raritan Bay Medical Center and Old Bridge Medical Center offer a combined 500 hospital beds. They are state-designated primary stroke centers and four-time National Magnet hospitals and boast numerous awards for their high level of care.
• ICU care has also been recognized nationally at RBMC and OBMC with the prestigious Silver Level Beacon Award of Excellence and Joint Commission Accreditation. Internal medicine residents are an integral part of the team at the Perth Amboy Campus, and the hospitals are well supported by subspecialty services onsite and through the Hackensack Meridian family.
• Raritan Bay Medical Center and Old Bridge Medical Center are home to numerous awards for excellence in patient care, quality, and nursing excellence. Recent awards include National Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence, Silver Level Beacon Award for Excellence for Intensive Care Nursing, Joint Commission Accreditation in several categories, and primary stroke designation.
• Intensivist-led multidisciplinary rounds, with participation from various teams and disciplines within the hospital, are a fundamental part of our practice and occur every day with active team participation.
