Infectious Disease Physician – Part-Time (Locum Tenens)

A healthcare facility in Dayton, OH, is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a part-time locum tenens position. This opportunity requires one week (7 days) per month for at least 4 months, with potential for extension.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 7 shifts per month

• On-Call: Yes (In-House & Telephone)

• Solo Coverage: Yes

• EMR: EPIC

• Privileges Available: Temporary

• Support Staff: RN triage service for patient calls

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Infectious Disease (MD/DO)

• Experience: Minimum 1 year

• Licensure: Active Ohio medical license required

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS

• DEA Required: Yes

Responsibilities:

• Manage new consults and follow up on inpatients

• Respond to patient calls from the emergency department and admitted patients

• Work with RN triage service for established patient calls
