Dignity Health Medical Group - Bakersfield, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is a multi-specialty group affiliated with Bakersfield Memorial Hospital and Mercy Hospitals. We are seeking an additional Infectious Disease Physician to join our inpatient ID service in Bakersfield, CA.

Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide care for patients with a broad spectrum of infectious diseases.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and clinical expertise to diagnose infectious diseases. Develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Offer expert consultations to other healthcare professionals to assist in the management of complex or unusual infectious cases.
- Infection Prevention & Control: Collaborate with hospital infection control teams to prevent, manage, and monitor hospital-acquired infections. Lead or assist in the development of institutional guidelines and protocols.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in quality assurance initiatives and analyze clinical outcomes for improvement.
- Compliance: Adhere to ethical standards and stay informed about healthcare regulations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- A valid and unrestricted California medical license
- Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Pay Range
$149.03 - $151.44 /hour
