Palmdale Regional Medical Center in north L.A. County, recently graded 'A' for patient safety by Leapfrog Group, provides high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The hospital is partnering with a reputable, local Infectious Disease practice to recruit a BC/BE Infectious Disease physician to include providing services at PRMC. Faculty appointment opportunity for handling ID rotations for the hospital's IM residency program if desired.

Opportunity highlights:

    • Join a busy, well-established, and highly reputable solo practice
    • Be busy immediately due to current 30-60 day appointment wait times
    • 100% Infectious Disease practice
    • All ID consults, no primary care (unless desired)
    • Practice is ~ 80% Inpatient / 20% Outpatient
    • Cover 1 hospital (PRMC)
    • Clinic - see HIV patients (who have PCP), Hep C, Wound infections, Valley Fever
    • Opportunity for additional income in Wound care and Infection control
    • Handle ID rotations for IM residents if desired
    • First year compensation $275,000-290,000 + collections bonus
    • $400,000 earnings potential

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a part of Southwest Healthcare, is licensed for 190 beds with planned build-out to 234. The hospital is designated as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and offers a 35-bed Emergency Department. PRMC features inpatient and outpatient surgical services in bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, neurological, spine, ENT, vascular, plastic, and robotics, featuring a da Vinci Xi. The hospital also offers medical and surgical oncology services in affiliation with City of Hope.
