Charleston Area Medical Center located in Charleston, WV is recruiting an additional BC/BE Infectious Disease physician to join a largely inpatient Hospital ID practice of 6 full time/2 part-time physicians and 3 supporting NP’s. Weekend/holiday call is a 1 in 6+ schedule with shared weekday call.

Excellent hospitalist team colleagues with very limited after-hours obligations requiring ID input. Practice in a medical community that has all specialties and sub-specialties well represented. Stimulating patient mix from a 350,000-person primary referral area. Level 1 trauma center and 100+ ICU beds and challenging referrals from busy oncology, interventional cardiovascular, renal transplantation, neurosurgery/spine, plastics/reconstructive, urology, and GI services. Outpatient clinics available include HIV, HCV, OPAT, and office ID. Our comprehensive regional medical center has state-of-the-art microbiology, telemedicine, and information systems.

Practice in a medical community that has all specialties and sub-specialties well represented. Active clinical research, participation in teaching and quality improvement activities is a major part of the group culture. Opportunities in HIV care and Ryan White Clinic, Antibiotic Stewardship, Epidemiology and Telemedicine regional facility support are part of the group’s activities. Regular ID section luncheon meetings and university conference schedule offer constant educational stimulation. We have 225 residents and fellows with fellowships in cardiology, gastroenterology, ED, pulmonary/critical care, neurology, vascular, urology and other specialties. Two ID/PharmD specialists are part of our ID team. Microbiology/virology laboratory facilities are state of the art. Support from administration is excellent.

Employed physicians receive a competitive guaranteed salary of $325,950 and a comprehensive benefit package including:
