(Wound & Hyperbaric)

About this role.

As a Physician in Wound & Hyperbaric, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will collaborate with a interdisciplinary team supporting a robust, high-volume clinic. This position would allow you to grow and develop our Cedar City location. You would oversee the inpatient team but there is no rounding expectation and no admitting in this role.

• You will practice at St. George Regional Hospital and Cedar City Hospital
• Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• You will be on paid hyperbaric call for up to two weeks per month with APP support
• Competitive Total Compensation: $295,459 plus the potential to earn more with a production incentive
• This position includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $20,000 relocation bonus (if applicable)

Requirements for this role:

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in UHM or PATH CAQ
• Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
• U.S. ACGME Residency/Fellowship
• Current DEA
• Current BLS Certification

Preferences for this role:

• Experience with monoplace and/or multiplace chambers

Life in the Mountain West

St. George is located within sculpted red rock desert valleys that are nestled below pine covered mountain peaks. The area is surrounded by multiple national parks and is a top destination with its year-round warm weather and favorable climate, golf courses, outdoor recreation opportunities and collegiate town environment.

St. George is in the top ten fastest growing cities in the United States with a population of 171,000 according to BusinessInsider.com.  To accommodate the rapid growth, St. George Regional Medical Center is a level II trauma center, recently expanding to 336 inpatient beds, has more than 320 physicians on staff, serves southern Utah, northern Arizona, and Nevada.  

Cedar City’s population is approximately 26,000. The area has recently experienced major population growth, and the trend is expected to continue. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery and is the gateway to the nation’s largest concentration of national parks. Recreational activities for the entire family include camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing and mountain biking. There is a moderate four-season climate, and during winter months residents can ski in the morning and play golf in nearby communities in the afternoon. Educational opportunities are available through Dixie State College and Southern Utah University (SUU). Summer activities include the Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.
