The physician must be comfortable with care of critical care/ ICU patients including ventilator management, medical consultation and co-management of surgical patients as well as the care of general medical patients. The physician will rotate in schedule with five other Hospitalist team members. We work on a block schedule; 7 on 7 off. Twelve hour shifts. We have three MD\'s and one Mid-level on the 6a - 6p day shift or 7am-7pm shift the day Hospitalist will conduct multi-disciplinary rounds as well as attending the in-patient service. The Hospitalist Service and individual Hospitalist will be expected to participate and provide leadership in on-going quality initiatives of the hospital including the clinical pathway program. The ideal candidate will be expected to communicate daily with referring physicians and hospital staff. The ideal candidate is an energetic, hardworking team player who will participate in developing the Hospitalist group and help achieve the overall goals of the Hospital Hospitalist Program.
