Healthcare United is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hospitalist to join our hospital medicine team in Southwest Georgia. This position offers a flexible schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team, including Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Whether you’re an experienced hospitalist or completing residency, this role provides excellent professional growth opportunities.


Position Highlights

As a Hospitalist, you will:

  • Schedule: Work 15 12-hour shifts per month (maximum 180 hours), with opportunities for extra shifts or night shifts for additional pay.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with a quality bonus scaled quarterly based on measures met.
  • Education Opportunities: Precept medical students and residents as part of a robust academic environment.
  • Hospital Facilities:
    • 10-bed open ICU.
    • 24/7 physicians’ lounge with meals provided.
    • Employee fitness center with all-hours access.
    • State-of-the-art Medical Education Center with simulation rooms and a conference center.

Requirements

  • Completion or upcoming completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Certification Eligible (must obtain certification within 4 years).
  • Active Georgia Medical License or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
  • Commitment to team-based, patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
