Local Team Collaboration:
- We’re a welcoming, hospital-employed team of 14 physicians and 8 APPs, who work closely with other hospital staff and departments at Mount Nittany Medical Center to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients.
- Our clinical performance nurse assists you in the process of providing a high-quality patient care experience.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine trained physician
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling:
- Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
- Shifts for the day position are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (rounding) and 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (admitting)
Key Responsibilities:
- As a day clinician, your responsibility will encompass rounding on patients, discharging when appropriate, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds.
- Everyone on the team rotates through the admitting shift
- The hospital has an open ICU with intensivist support, no procedures or vent management required.
- Our team performs geographic rounding when possible
- Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response and code team — we’re all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. The intensivists will provide support.
- We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time and part-time.
- We use Meditech Expanse EMR
