We are seeking board-certified Hospitalists to provide temporary inpatient coverage in support of a long-term vacancy. This short-term locum assignment, with an anticipated start date, requires skilled providers who can manage a busy, adult-only inpatient setting in a Level 2 Trauma Center. The facility offers temporary privileges to expedite onboarding and strongly prefers candidates with clean credentialing files. Providers must be comfortable crossing a picket line as the assignment includes strike coverage.

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient care for 14-16 adult patients per shift in a 525-bed hospital.
  • Provide coverage during day, swing, and night shifts with scheduled clinical hours only (no call duties).
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system to document patient encounters.
  • Manage common inpatient medical conditions and procedures, including non-invasive ventilation management and acute care.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Board-certified in Hospital Medicine or related specialty.
Licensed in Oregon or eligible for expedited licensing through the Oregon Medical Board (OMB).
Experience with inpatient hospitalist care in high-volume settings.
Clean credentialing history strongly preferred for expedited temporary privileges.

Working Hours

Scheduled clinical hours only (no on-call).
Day, swing, and night shifts available.
Overtime must be preapproved by the site.

Proficient in managing inpatient care, including acute and chronic conditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and provide quality care.
Comfortable with non-invasive ventilation management and other hospitalist procedures.
