Our client, a diverse and community-centric organization, seeks an OB/GYN Hospitalist for in-house obstetrical physician coverage. They are looking for a physician dedicated to improving the health and wellness of families who reside on the West Side and Southwest Side of Chicago.

Hospital services include a Level II NICU, full-time anesthesia, and a dedicated OB emergency department. The hospital has one of the lowest c-section rates in Chicago and offers a full range of Maternal Fetal Medicine, educational, and support services.

Position Highlights:

• Work 6 to 8 shifts per month, month, in 24-hour or 12-hour shifts on labor and delivery
• The schedule would align with employed physicians’ shifts
• No call when not on shift
• Provides clinical supervision for the Certified Nurse Midwives and collaborates with Outpatient Clinic OB/GYN Providers and Laborists
• Manage unassigned patient admissions/deliveries and emergency department OB/GYN consultations
• Serve as first-assistant for surgical procedures, as needed
• Perform emergency room consults and emergent Gynecologic surgery as needed
• Support Midwife laborists, performing c-sections and managing high-risk patients

Salary/Benefits:

• Salary starts at $270,000 with hourly incentive pay for extra shifts

Job Requirements:

• Board certified OB/GYN, experience preferred
• ACLS, CPR, NRP Certifications
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Interpretation Skills
