Local Team Collaboration:
- We take pride in our well-established team of 20 physicians and two daytime APPs at Skagit Valley Hospital.
- Work alongside our team of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds dedicated to improving health and wellness in Washington
- Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.
Qualifications:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
- Board certification in internal or family medicine and a minimum of 2 years of hospitalist leadership experience are mandatory.
- An active medical license in Washington or eligibility for licensure is required.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- Enjoy a schedule that includes seven monthly clinical shifts, with dedicated administrative time to focus on leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate comprehensive medical care and post-operative care to a 137-bed facility, including an open ICU with subspecialty backup
- Work with internal and family medicine residents as primary teaching faculty for their inpatient rotations
- Provide clinical oversight and foster a family-like environment within a blended, collaborative team.
- Procedures are not mandatory for our team. Our dedicated hospitalist and emergency room teams handle code responses, ensuring a collective and supportive approach.
- Utilize EPIC EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
