VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Montgomery, AL!

§ NICU Level: III
§ Total Hospital Deliveries (annually.): 3,696
§ Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (annually):
300
§ Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists
(not including deliveries) (monthly): 541
§ MFM onsite? (telehealth)
§ In-house Anesthesia? Yes
§ EMR: Cerner
Program Details
§ Program Start Date: June 1, 2022
§ Shift Length: 24 Hours (Start time = 8:00am CST)
§ Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: only for emergent
cases
§ Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: Not
required
§ Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: No – usually provided
by midwives, residents or group.
§ First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (surgical techs)
§ Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: TBD (CNM’s are in local
private practice)
§ Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No
§ Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call)
