Nocturnist Clinical Adjunct Faculty opening near Winston-Salem
- Located in Lexington, NC - Winston-Salem 20m
- Full-time, permanent position
- Hours: 7:00PM-7:00am
- Number of hospitalist beds: 39
- Closed ICU and ICU team at night
MD would be responsible for all admitted med-surg hospitalist patients overnight, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Responding to and managing any Rapid Responses or Codes. ICU team and ED physician will also attend codes. ICU team will take over care of patient.
- Assessing patients and developing appropriate plans as needed for any acute events of changes in patient status
- Coordinating with nursing staff and responding to questions/concerns as needed
- Providing appropriate hand-off/sign-out at the conclusion of their shift to the day team
- Determine patients that require transfer to tertiary hospital and contacting PAL line to facilitate
- Typically, no procedures needed, although ability is a plus. Availability of other specialties for procedures.
